High Holy Day Goodie Bag Pick Up & Food Drive Donations

Tuesday, September 8, 10 am–2 pm
Wednesday, September 9, 5–7pm

Prayer Book Pick Up
Pick up you Mishkan HaNefesh High Holy Day prayer books Rosh Hashanah will be a gold prayer book and Yom Kippur a silver prayer book. In addition, you can also pick up our Shabbat prayer book, Mishkan T’Filah. Each prayer book will be marked with a code so that we can keep track of which books are returned. 

Honey Cake Pick Up
During prayer book pick up, each family will receive a honey cake baked by our very own Zeffert and Gold Caterers. A big thank you to the Women’s Club for sponsoring this initiative so that our members can begin the year in this traditionally sweet way. 

Food Drive: Drop Off Donations
September 8 is also the first day of our High Holy Day Food Drive. Please bring items to donate to the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Most needed items are paper towels, toilet paper, antibacterial wipes, shelf stable food and gift cards to Target and Amazon. Note: After Sept. 9, you can drop off your donations in the vestibule of the Gordon Chapel.  The Kennedy Krieger Institute is dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with care and research focused on pediatric developmental disabilities and disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system.

If you need to schedule another time to pick up your Shabbat and High Holiday prayer books and honey cake, please contact the temple so that we can arrange a time that works for your family.
We are distributing honey cakes baked by Zeffert and Gold Catering. The Women's Club is sponsoring this initiative.

We are collecting food to donate tor Kennedy Kreiger Institute at Johns Hopkins. Please bring shelf stable food only and join us in our effort to feed the hungry.
